Orders of veterinary products with subsequent analysis
Veterinary-Service Provider
For our client, we developed a multi-tenant platform that enables suppliers, consumers, and other stakeholders to manage and order products.
Square was originally designed for veterinary practices but can be flexibly applied to other domains. Thanks to its system-wide multi-tenancy, users only see the data relevant to their roles and locations, ensuring data security and clear responsibilities.
A key feature of Square is its ability to generate comprehensive analyses of orders and prices, offering significant optimization potential for participating companies and stakeholders.
DSL-based Generation of Machine Control Software
International machine manufacturer
In the OEM sector, we developed a comprehensive platform for our client’s product chains, enabling the quasi-automated generation of user-facing applications that ultimately serve as control software in production facilities.
Our client required a software solution capable of supporting both legacy systems and newly developed machine series. Previously, individual machine control applications were developed for each series on the client’s side, leading to significant challenges in terms of maintainability, consistency, and development effort. To address these issues, we designed and built a multi-layered platform that enables the generation of applications from complex machine data models using a domain-specific description language.
This platform produces deliverable and reproducible software from centralized, maintainable models under version control. The generation process supports various customization and migration options, ensuring smooth long-term operation and continuous development of machinery.
Fitness Analysis Platform
Manufacturer of sporting goods
In this project, a software application was developed to offer athletes the opportunity to analyze and optimize their training.
The requirements for this project were diverse: The solution had to be capable of collecting data from athletes, gathered through wearable sensors. This data then had to be processed and made available for analysis. Additionally, administrative functions (e.g., sensor firmware updates) needed to be developed. This project was implemented by us in collaboration with a long-term partner. We were responsible for the development of the backend as well as a web application. Our partner developed a mobile app, which was available to the athlete even during training.
The solution included the development of a microservices-based backend. This consisted of various applications developed using Spring Boot. Additionally, a frontend component developed with React was integrated. Google Firebase was used for user management. The application was deployed in an AKS Kubernetes cluster using Helm charts.
Product Inventory and Maintenance Planning
International machine manufacturer
For a client in the OEM sector, we developed a software solution that allows end-users to view and manage product inventories and maintenance planning throughout their lifecycle.
The project involved the design and development of an application for the digital management of hardware assets, with a primary focus on maintenance schedules and product specifications. Users can generate reports on completed and upcoming repairs and inspections of their industrial assets. On the client side, the application enables technicians and inspectors to easily log maintenance activities, supporting the entire product lifecycle from purchase to deployment and decommissioning.
The web application consists of backend and frontend components, deployed via a cloud-hosted Kubernetes cluster.
Teaching and learning system with integrated course management.
Local Club
As part of the project, we have designed and developed a digital learning platform and a course management system for the client.
A local association had the requirement to independently organize, conduct and provide its members with the opportunity for digital learning. For this, we have designed a web-based application that is also usable on mobile devices. In this project, we have comprehensively supported the customer in achieving his goals. This included the requirement analysis, design and implementation of the application as well as the subsequent operation.
The platform consists of two components: A Spring-Boot application is used as the backend, which provides REST-APIs and functions for data storage and management. We have developed the frontend with AngularJS and it is optimized for use in the browser and on mobile devices. Both components have been installed as containers (Docker) in a Kubernetes cluster. To manage these containers, we have used a Helm chart.
Managing and maintaining smart grid components
German technology company
In this project, we are supporting our partner Trivium eSolutions GmbH in the development of an asset management system for the smart grid sector.
The goal of the project was to develop a scalable, multi-tenant platform that assists customers in managing and maintaining distributed systems. The solution is a modern, cloud-agnostic, microservices-based application that runs on a Kubernetes cluster. The system consists of over 10 different services that are integrated via a message broker. Additionally, a BPMN workflow engine is used to model various workflows related to the maintenance of devices.
We supported our partner in this project as a software architect and developer. By integrating into an agile project team, we were able to develop an optimal solution for the customer.
Managing SAP Proficenters
Regional IT Supplier
We developed an application for our client that integrates with an SAP system and displays information about profit centers stored there.
The client was looking for a way to display financial information in an attractive way on mobile devices, thereby providing users with simplified access to this information.
To solve the problem, we developed a J2EE application, which we connected to the existing SAP system using the SAP Java Connector. We used Primefaces (JSF) as the frontend framework. We ensured that the application is also usable and visually appealing on mobile devices. Finally, we deployed the application using a JBoss instance.
